To ring in husband Tom Cruise’s birthday, Katie Holmes threw an intimate, surprise dinner party for the now 49-year-old in Miami on Saturday, according to new reports.

Reserving the exclusive Soho Beach House for the soiree, the Are You Afraid of the Dark star invited forty friends and family members to the Italian-style dinner bash, the NY Post reports.

Tom, who is in Miami to film Rock of Ages alongside Julianne Hough, Malin Ackerman, Russell Brand, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, danced to Cuban music during the fete.

Katie, mom to 5-year-old Suri Cruise, ended the fun-filled night on a sweet note, giving her beau a chocolate birthday cake.
