With the royal wedding just over a month away, tensions are running high behind the scenes — but publicly all parties appear to be putting on good show!
Star has reported that bride-to-be Kate Middleton has clashed with Prince William’s notorious stepmother, Camilla Parker Bowles, who has been sticking her nose into every detail of the wedding, which takes place April 29. However, when Camilla was asked about Kate on Wednesday during a visit to Covent Garden Academy of Flowers in London, she had nothing but kind words about the future princess.
“Kate’s a lovely girl,” Camilla said. “We’re very lucky. I’m very much looking forward to it.”
Prince Charles’ wife also spoke about her young granddaughter, Eliza Lopes, being a bridesmaid on Kate and Will’s big day. “She’s only 3, and it will be quite nerve-wracking for a little one. But she will enjoy it,” Camilla said.
But she did manage to get a jab in! Making a tabletop decoration with flowers, Camilla cracked to the students near her, “If I could do a few more of these, we could save money on the wedding!”
Star previously reported that during a pre-wedding lunch, Camilla went so far as to lecture Kate about how her wedding shouldn’t be “shouldn’t be flashy because the country is knee-deep in a recession,” an insider revealed to Star. “Kate was stunned and insulted. She and William have a budget, of course, but the wedding is definitely going to be a luxurious affair.”
