It appears ‘cutouts’ will have some competition in ‘bare midriffs’ for the title of hottest spring trend. We first saw the bare midriff on the red carpet, from actress Camella Belle in Jason Wu. Now Gossip Girl Jessica Szohr is sporting the rising trend, at the ‘Help Haiti’ NYC benefit event. Ladies, it’s time to bust out those Kanye workout plans, because it appears between cutouts, and bare midriffs, showing a little skin this spring/summer will be unavoidable.

Jessica didn’t go as bold as Camilla, whose midriff baring top amounted to little more than a ruffle bandeau bra. Instead Jessica opted for a more relatively conservative take, on baring midriffs. Her neutral toned knit crop top, and linen pencil skirt ensemble, was simple in its aesthetic, yet befitting of a young Hollywood starlet. It’s a more subdued look than what we’re used to seeing on Jessica, but those leopard print Christian Louboutin heels, are all her.
