The first shot of actress Hailee Steinfeld as the new face of Miu Miu hit the internet a few weeks ago, and in the ad the fifteen-year-old starlet took on the role of a young ingenue getting her first taste of high fashion.
The initial campaign shot, and few of the additional pics give off a purposeful ‘young girl playing dress up’ vibe, but for the most part the clothes and styling just feel too old.
Hailee is cute, but again the ‘40s style Fall 2011 Miu Miu collection isn’t something a girl her age would wear. And unlike other similarly aged professional models, the public knows how young Hailee actually is, and perhaps that’s what colors my opinion of the campaign.
What do you think though?
