Host Selena Gomez wasn’t the only one styling and profiling on the red carpet of the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards. Singer/songwriter Fefe Dobson vamped it up in a black, satin gown, complete with thigh high split. She finished her look with a deep plum lip, sleek hair, and Jeffrey Campbell ‘Rockin’ platform heels.

As with most outfits that push the boundaries of fashion, this isn’t a look that would work on just anyone. The styling raises eyebrows, requiring a certain kind of attitude to successfully sell it. And sell it, Fefe does. It’s a more sultry look than what we usually see from her, but clearly Fefe loves the change, and it’s her confidence in what she’s wearing that makes her outfit a ‘hit’ instead of ‘miss.’

Each piece of her ensemble holds some type of visual interest, but it’s her Jeffery Campbell heels that capture my attention most. With their 6.5″ wooden cut out wedge, and lace up detailing, these shoes definitely ask to be noticed. Get them from NeedSupply or Singer22, for $169 at both retailers.
