Who knew becoming an American Idol judge would be just the career boost Jennifer Lopez needed? Whatever the case, I’m glad she’s back in the spotlight, because it means we get to see more of her diva ready style. Before there was Kim K. there was J.Lo, the original Miss Bonita Applebum, and she had it going on, and all on full display yesterday (May 3) at a taping of BET’s 106 & Park.

Wearing a one of a kind, custom Hakaan cutout dress, Jennifer showed off the figure that made her famous. Cutouts are the trend of the season, and of course J.Lo took the look to the next level.

Her cream Hakaan dress not only featured cutouts at the waist, but also along her right thigh in a latticework pattern. Despite the peek of skin, there’s something girly, almost demure about Jennifer’s dress, showing just enough, but not too much, to keep things fun. She finished her look with a tousled ponytail, large hoop earrings, and a pair of silver Giuseppe Zanotti mirrored calfskin pumps.
