The 2011 Essence Music Festival went down this weekend in New Orleans, LA. and many of our favorite stars came out to partake in the good music, good food, and good vibes.

My new fave, Tika Sumpter attended the last day of the festival wearing a bright neon pink flounce hem dress from New York based designer LaQuan Smith’s LQS by LaQuan Smith Spring 2011 collection. She also got her chat on with Emil Wilbekin, Managing Editor of Essence.com.

The bright color of Tika’s dress goes amazingly well with her flawless skin. Her look is perfection. If I had to find one gripe though, it would be her choice of shoe. It matches, but it’s too heavy visually. I think the Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ in black patent would’ve been an amazing choice, or at least the same shoe in nude patent.

Nevertheless, it’s still an amazing ensemble, and Tika looks great. But what do you think?
